Case: Cramps

Ingrid, 75 years old
Has cramps and wants to go on vacation

Ingrid came to my pharmacy the day before her vacation.

Ingrid: Wolfgang, can’t you help me? I have terrible cramps, which is why I have been to the doctor many times.

Wolfgang: If you have cramps, you can take magnesium.

Ingrid: The doctor already told me that. I already take it, but it doesn’t help!

Wolfgang: What medication are you taking? Perhaps the cramps are a side effect of your medication.

Ingrid: I take simvastatin, blood pressure tablets….

Wolfgang: 40% of people who take the cholesterol-lowering drug simvastatin develop muscle weakness, muscle cramps or muscle pain. Take coenzyme Q10. Then you won’t get any more cramp.

She was about to leave when she noticed that she was sweating profusely again, even though she had only walked 300 meters.

Wolfgang: One liter of sweat contains up to 2000 mg sodium, 300 mg potassium, 30 mg magnesium, 30 mg calcium, 1 mg zinc, 0.9 mg copper, 0.7 mg iron, 0.05 mg iodine.
Do you actually salt your food?

Ingrid: Salt is unhealthy, especially if you have high blood pressure. I take as little as possible.

Wolfgang: I am convinced that your cramps are caused by a lack of salt. Coenzyme Q10 is not. Give it to me again and take 3 times 2 g of table salt.

She called me the next day. She said it was the first time in a long time that she no longer had cramps. After her vacation, she immediately came to the pharmacy and told me, beaming with joy, that she no longer had any cramps and now takes the salt every day.

Case: Pregnancy

Case Susanne, 36 years
Finally wants to get pregnant

Susanne: I finally want to get pregnant and have already tried everything. I’ve been to all the clinics. Artificial insemination did not work.

Wolfgang: For fertility and better sperm quality, we recommend zinc, selenium, iodine, thyrosine and vitamin D.

Susanne returns after 4 months, beaming with joy.

Susanne: I only got pregnant because of “your pills”. I told everyone that too. I am 11 weeks pregnant.

Wolfgang: Congratulations! Zinc promotes fertility. Iodine, selenium and thyrosine are jointly responsible for energy development and for female and male hormone production. Vitamin D regulates the thyroid gland. It is assumed that the TSH value must be below 1.5 in order to be able to become pregnant at all.

Case: Blood pressure

Fall Luck, 47 years old
Upper blood pressure value always above 160 mmHg

Luck: I have such high blood pressure all the time. The doctor prescribed me blood pressure tablets, but I don’t take them. I’m afraid of becoming addicted and getting into a vicious circle. Don’t you have something else, something healthier?

Wolfgang: I recommend vitamin D every day.

After 8 weeks he comes back beaming with joy.

Luck: My blood pressure readings are now between 145/90 and 130/85, but I’m still tired. In the morning I feel like I’ve been drinking the day before and my energy is gone.

We recommend iodine for breakfast and selenium on an empty stomach in the evening. After five days he already has a bit more energy and after 4 weeks he is fine.
Only vitamin D has optimized his blood pressure enormously downwards and only iodine and selenium have given him more energy via the thyroid gland.

Case: Stomach ache

Case Max, 11 years old
Terrible stomach ache

Mother: Wolfgang, my son Max has a terrible stomach ache. What should I do?

Wolfgang: Give him a banana because he doesn’t eat enough fruit and vegetables. A banana contains a lot of potassium and magnesium.
As there is not enough salt in your household, let him drink a glass of water with 1 salt tablet twice a day.

Wolfgang: Does Max eat a lot?

Mother: Yes.

Wolfgang: Sugar is a vitamin B1 robber. Therefore, give him 1 additional vitamin B complex tablet (contains all B vitamins).

Mother the next day: After 30 minutes the stomach ache was gone, thanks Wolfgang!

Case: Headache

Case Antonia, 12 years old
Can’t go to school because of severe headaches

Mother: My daughter has such a bad headache. She can’t possibly go to school. Should I give her a painkiller?

Wolfgang: We could measure what she is missing. That would be the smarter medicine. The measurement is free of charge for children.

The mother takes her daughter to the pharmacy.

Wolfgang: Antonia has too little potassium and too little vitamin B1.

I send her to the supermarket to get a banana, which she eats with a vitamin B capsule.

Antonia after 35 minutes: The headache is gone.

Wolfgang: Is the headache completely gone?

Antonia: He’s totally gone!
